Show your support for Global AIDS programs

In his State of the Union address, President Obama spoke about “realizing the promise of an AIDS-free generation.” For the first time, we have the science and experience to stop HIV/AIDS and end the epidemic as we know it.

The Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB & Malaria is dedicated to fighting these three diseases around the world. Global Fund-supported programs are estimated to save 3,600 lives per day – or over 1.3 million lives per year.

World leaders will make life-or-death funding decisions at the Global Fund’s replenishment conference this Fall. Tell President Obama to keep the promise of an AIDS-free generation with a responsible pledge to the Global Fund.

Here’s a script:

In his State of the Union speech, the president spoke about our efforts to achieve an AIDS-free generation. I strongly support this goal. The Global Fund is the most effective international partnership we have to fight AIDS, as well as tuberculosis and malaria.
I thank President Obama for maintaining our current promise to the Global Fund in the Fiscal Year 2014 budget.  At the Global Fund replenishment conference this fall please continue to lead in the global fight against AIDS and pledge our fair share.
